of water and refuses to spin. It may indeed be full of water - but not necessarily. This error code is used on some Indesit indesit washing machine f05 error code washing machines too Before a washing machine spins the laundry it needs a signal that the water has pumped away successfully so it knows that it's safe to spin. This error indicates that for various possible reasons it's not getting that http://www.hotpointservice.co.uk/appliances/washing-machines/error-codes/ signal. This can be caused by a pump fault or blockage in the filter, but if this is the case then clearly when the fault occurs it should be stuck full of water or at least still have a fair amount inside (if so follow this not draining water guide and help stuck full of water). But if the water has pumped away OK and you still get this error then it's not a pump blockage, it's a fault elsewhere. Suspects are http://www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/hotpoint-error-code-f05/ that the pressure switch itself is jammed, (i.e. the switch is physically stuck), or it's being jammed on by air pressure due to a blockage in the pressure chamber bottle at the bottom of the thin tube (connected to the pressure switch). This can hold air pressure in the tube keeping the pressure switch on. In the latter case, pulling off the small tube at the base of the pressure switch should result in an audible click as the pressure is released and the pressure switch springs back to off. Other faults listed as possible causes for this error are faulty connections and even the pcb, which I wouldn't advise replacing. If you have this fault and can't see anything obvious - call an engineer Related to F05 fault finding How a washing machine controls water levels Faults on pressure system Comments Disabled Sorry, comments on this topic have been closed. Good luck to all Guy August 2016 BIG THANK YOU to everyone, i found nothing wrong with my washing machine, than i looked at Gary`s comment and voila problem was in the wall pipe! Srdjan February 2016 I have the f05 error intermittently but if I hook the machine up to a garden hose it works fine what would the problem be, I'm worried if I buy a new machine I will have the same problem, the pipes are under concrete floor so can't get at them sabrina December 2015 On our HOTPOINT AQUARIUS WMPF762 the error code f05 came up with flashing lights.
