Submitted: 7 years ago. Category:UK Appliance Share this conversation Expert: I.can replied7 years ago. Hi hotpoint washing machine YCustomerbr /> I've seen this Error code F-03 or F03 show up.It's a clogged drain line or pumpTake the back off and disconnect the tube between the wash tumbler and the drain pump (its just a hose clamp). I removed a piece of a ball-point pen stuck in there. It must have come out of a pocket and fallen through the little tumbler holes. After reconnecting the hose, the washer works great again. Ask Your Own UK Appliance Question Customer: replied7 years ago. hithanks for being so quick at replying to my question, unfortunatley this has not stopped the error code. i took the hose off and inside i found a plastic filter with a ball in it, i removed two coins from it and thought this would be the problem solved, it wasn't ,so i took out the pump and checked it, nothing in it. the machine can go on a 40min rinse and spin programme and not display this error code, its only when you select a wash programme it will run for about 20-30mins
