System Queued Windows Error Reporting Disable
May 2009 - 10:53 AM I'm a fairly new CCleaner user. On the Windows Tab of the CCleaner, there is a check-box for "Windows system queued windows error reporting large Error Reporting". If I select that box, will I also be deleting my computer's Event Logs? I rely on those for tracking problems. I have a Windows Vista 32-bit Home Basic. Thanks! Thanks!I don't have a check-box for "Windows Error Reporting" in the Windows tab. Well CC has an option to clean all Windows log files. There aren't that important they just report something has been done. Thats files with a log extension.Under System - Windows Log Files just remove the tick and try it again. This option will clean all the error reports from your system."I will leave the box unticked. Sometimes I will get a "fix" back from Microsoft immediately, on a crash that automatically reports to them. Often, however, there is no fix available at the time, b

My question is: is it safe to delete system queued windows error reporting files using disk cleanup? Or deleting C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER ? I think it is only used for reporting and logging. If you're in a critical state that you HAVE to gain diskspace, you can always look at c:\windows\softwaredistribution to gain some quick space. 0 Tabasco OP Moreira Dec 4, 2013 at 2:40 UTC WinDirStat isthe first tool I use to search for used space and I'm also aware of c:\windows\softwaredistribution. The question is that I never deleted the WER content till now (discovered it today) and found that, in some servers, is useful to do so. Off course if it's safe like it seems to. 1 This discussion has been inactive for over a year. You may get a better answer to your question by starting a new discussion.
