KingDog Member Joined: Jan 1, 2002 Messages: 68 Likes Received: 0 I have recently started receiving this error when trying to play media files online in IE 6 (.wmv; mp3's, etc). Never had any trouble before. It does not do this on all sites, but quite a few. They start up and play for a few seconds and then stop and the error message comes up. In the Streaming protocols area, select all the protocol check boxes. To verify your proxy server settings On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Network tab. Verify your settings in the Streaming proxy settings area. Note If you do not know what your proxy server settings should be, on the Network tab, select a protocol, click Configure, and then select Autodetect proxy settings or Use proxy settings of the Web browser (available for HTTP protocol only). No luck trying these fixes. Of note is that if I download the media file and save it, and then play it-the file plays fine. For ex
