have the same problem of not being able to play DVD’s from within Windows Media Center, the DVD does play using the Media Player. When I try to play a DVD (from the drive or a ripped vob file on the hard drive) from within Windows Media Center, I get the following error: “Video Error Files needed to display video are not installed or are not working correctly. Windows Media Center can play DVD and VOB files without problem. This issue is mainly caused by graphics drivers. I would like to confirm which model of Computer and Graphics card is used. At this time, you may try removing and reinstalling the graphics card: Reinstall driver ============== 1. Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter. 2. Double click to expand "Display adaptors". 3. Right click your graphics card and click Uninstall. 4. Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK. 5. Restart the computer 6.
