users Latest reply from cparker030 cparker030 Posted 4 years ago I am attempting to upload Omeka on a BlueHost server and I'm receiving a 404 error when I attempt to go to the main page to install. I followed the instructions from the Omeka installation codex and I believe I've hit all the steps. I've tried different choices for the database host based on some of the other forum posts: localhost, 127.0.0.1, mysql, mysql.localdomain, and my site's IP address. The other https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/websearch/9FxHo9VibGE;context-place=topicsearchin/websearch/category$3Afirefox%7Csort:relevance%7Cspell:false fields should be correct (username, password, database name). I also made sure that the .htaccess is in the root directory and it appears to be the correct Omeka version: # Remember to enable display_errors on development environments only.

It's a UNIX prompt that was so tempting I tried a few commands. Haven't found one that works yet. I was nice and didn't try "sudo rm -rf /". :-) Try it out: http://pcpartpicker.com/404 Comments Sorted by: Highest Rated Oldest First Newest First Log 404 error in to rate comments or to post a comment. I then upgraded using the published oBS method, and installed version 8.2.2. After upgrading however, connecting to my localhost/owncloud resulted in a 404 not found with "URL/owncloud not found on this server".I did some reading, and confirmed that the apache root directory is /var/www and not /var/www/html as others pointed out, and ensured that libapache2-mod-php5filter was not installed as according to https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/9395Ideas on what I'm missing? Perhaps you kept some old configuration files that point to the wrong location. Check the files in /etc/apache2/*, there should be something likeCode: Select allAlias /owncloud /var/www/owncloudCheck you webserver logfile, it could give you more details. Checked the owncloud.conf file and found the pointer to the old location. updated it with /var/www/owncloud and it worked right away.Next problem is that the posted available storage doesn't seem to match the expected value, but I'll do some reading and see if I can solve it. Thanks for the help! Top despecialk Newbie Posts
