Owa 401 Error
in to vote My problem started a while ago after everything has been working without problems for one year.
Owa 500 Error
My first problem was that ActiveSync stopped to work, when I tried to solve this problem I recreate all Virtual Directories in the IIS by following the instructions on the URL https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/320240 (http://my.opera.com/RavenOverride/blog/2009/06/17/how-to-recreate-all-virtual-directories-for-exchange-2007). The only problem I had following these instructions was the last part where I should use appcmd.exe to disable KernalMode. After that I now have a bigger problem L When I try to access the OWA I always get a http error 404. I try to open the URL: http://srapp01.[domain].com/owa and automatically gets redirected to http://srapp01.[domain].com/owa/auth/logon.aspx?url=http://srapp01. [domain].com/owa&reason=0 and then I get the https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/83c3c24a-82c5-4afc-bf8b-9bd09ea9fedf/http-error-404-while-trying-to-access-owa?forum=exchangesvrclientslegacy 404 error. I have checked the IIS log file and there I also se the 404 error. I have a GoDaddy certificate installed that has been working without problems I have not made any changes to the certificate settings so I don’t think that is the problem. I have run out of ides’ what to do, I hope anyone have some suggestions. Besides, I found one article when can help you to remove and re-install IIS on a computer that is running Exchange Server, you can have a try. How to remove and to reinstall IIS on a computer that is running Exchange Server http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202 Regards, Xiu Marked as answer by Thomas B Wednesday, July 14, 2010 9:44 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010 2:10 AM Reply | Quote A

Not a problem... IN THIS DISCUSSION Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hi All, We have an on-premises Exchange 2007 SP2 server running on Server 2008 Standard, which we are in the process of migrating to Office 365 for Education using MigrationWiz. Our public IP address is 404 error changing at the end of the month, so to be ahead of any issues, we asked out local telecoms provider (domain registrars) to point our domain records to our new IP (which is already accessible). Once that happened, our OWA address has stopped working externally. Internal DNS takes care of the OWA address so there are no issue within our network for people accessing their mail. Outlook, smartphones and web mail all work as normal within our office network. Externally, however, owa 404 error secure connections to OWA result in the IIS 7 splash screen, which then redirects to a "404 Not Found" page. The 404 error does not look like the typical IIS error page, it is simply a plain white page that says "404 Not Found" at the center top position. Using http to access OWA rather than https works as normal. I believe there could be a couple of reason why our https access is not working: 1. SSL key needs to be re-keyed - can't imagine this is the case though since the server's I address/hast name has not changed. I don't think SSL certs are tied to an IP, just common name. 2. We are using a Peplink 580 load balancer to distribute 5 HSBB connections across the office. This has been the setup for the last 6 months or more and has not caused any issues. The only reason I mention this is that when accessing the https site on a smartphone, it throws a certificate errors which states that the common name does not match that of the common name on the SSL cert. It indicates that the address is pointing to "captive-portal.peplink.com", rather than the common name set in the SSL. 3. Permissions on the OWA virtual directory are not correct, however, nothing here has changed since it was working. If anyone has any suggestions that I might be able to try or read into, I'd re

Everything including OWA has been working quite wonderfully with no issues. Iam not using forms authentication for OWA as well. However, today I tried to login to OWA and I immediately receive a "Page cannot be found error." The error number is "Http 404 - File or Directory not found." I do not even receive a login box just the error. I reviewed a Knowledge Base article 327843 that talked about authentication and assuring that it is correctly set. I also checked to assure that the directories of the exchweb, public, and exchange are all correct even after restarting IIS. Which would of course mean that I have restarted IIS and even tried to restart the server as well. I would appreciate any assistance with resolving this issue.
