may be because you've installed into a subdirectory also (8ball.lu/wordpress/). Any further detail may help. nuoboduMember @nuobodu 4 years, 11 months ago I'm using numeric permalink structure. Well, i installed my test environment into that subdirectory. But the links see to be created nicely and logically: to the forum http://www.8ball.lu/wordpress/forums/forum/second-new-test-forum to the topic http://www.8ball.lu/wordpress/forums/topic/testing-topic-2 even if i add a trailing slash at the end of a link, it doesnt work anyway. I am completely lost here. I have read every post in this forum about the similar problems, but never saw an insuring answer travis.hillParticipant @travishill 4 years, 11 months ago Are you using BuddyPress? If so, are you using the forum component? What are your settings in Dashboard > Settings > Forums for Archive Slugs & Single Slugs? Are there any potential BuddyPress link errors (if BP is indeed installed)? Have you (un)prefixed your forum with the forum slug/changed any settings in this area? Have you tried accessing the forums/topics via the original fuglylink? (http://www.8ball.lu/wordpress/?p=### [where ### is the ID of the forum/topic]). Lastly, are there any other plugins activated? nuoboduMember @nuobodu 4 years, 11 months ago Nope, im not using buddypress. All the Forum settings are default, i didnt change anything after

yesterday, when someone made the first post in the forum, they were accessible. Last night I hastily upgraded to https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/page-not-found-error/ WP 4.5, without checking the compatibility of the plugins. And now there is a 404 error whenever someone makes an attempt to access the forums. I downgraded the WP to 4.4.2 using FTP. verses having a 404 page… [Resolved] bbpress profile links verses having a 404 page… crzyhrse @crzyhrse 10 months, 3 weeks ago Hi Fakhri, A while back you created a little plugin to fix how your plugin was redirecting bbpress https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bbpress-profile-links-verses-having-a-404-page/ forum profile links to the 404 page I have set in your plugin… https://buddypress.org/support/topic/page-not-found-permalinks-issue/ It continues to do that, but I have discovered that when it is active the setting in your plugin doesn't work, any non-existent or broken url go to a blank page… When I deactivate your little bbpress user profile link fix plugin then the redirect to the 404 works again, but the bbpress user 404 error profile links are broken again, and go to the 404 page as well… When your seo redirection plugin is not active the bbpress links work just fine, no need for the little plugin you made… So it seems basically that the little plugin is only deactivating your seo redirection's 404 redirect setting…? So, as it is, I have the choice of either the forum profile links don't 404 error wordpress work, or there is a blank page found when there is a broken url, instead of the page I've set up for that, with a menu and search bar… I have no idea how long this has been going on… I just discovered it while working on something else… I have your pro version… Hoping for a real fix for this…? I have a live site that is going on about a month now, we have around 25-30 users at this current time and they're constantly reporting to me that a page here and there is showing "No Results Found." Up until this point, it's been okay and I've just re-saved the permalink structure each time, but today the worst thing possible happened and my login page became "No Results Found." Thankfully, I was logged into my site via my PC, so I could update the permalink structure, but what if I hadn't been? I don't know how to fix this, I don't know what's causing it. The major issue is, it's intermittent so deactivating and reactivating plugins one-by-one may not be the most useful route for this simply because I can't guarantee when it's going to happen, in order to deduce what the issue is. Any help in this matter is extremely appreciated.
