If I try the same thing with (for instance) di.fm it works fine. At first, the same thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3t2PPY5xkw happens with both di.fm and my station - RealPlayer tries to open the location. In my case it is http://ninc.sytes.net:8000/listen.pls (but I have also tried tuning in directly from shoutcast.com - http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutc...e=filename.pls ). After about 30 seconds, RealPlayer tells me that: "A general error has ocurred http://85.226.169.231:8000" Now, since it works with di.fm and RealPlayer tells me that the problem is with my stream. How can I solve this? Suggestions, tips? Anyone? re3t View http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=242870 Public Profile Visit re3t's homepage! Posts: 3,297 You most likely have port 8000 blocked at work, which is the case for me as well. I can only listen to streams on port 80. Which by the way di.fm streams on port 80! (As I am listening to one of there streams right now). ~ DK ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. hackerdork View Public Profile Visit hackerdork's homepage! Web Security ApplianceTroubleshoot and AlertsTroubleshooting TechNotes Why can't I view RealPlayer videos when using Cisco Web Security Appliance with NTLM authentication enabled? Download Print Available http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/web-security-appliance/117935-technote-csc-00.html Languages Download Options PDF (6.7 KB) View with Adobe Reader on a variety of devices Updated:Jul 15, 2014 Document ID:117935 Contents Question: Environment: Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA), all versions of AsyncOS NOTE: RTSP is not supported by our appliance at the current time.If you open a RealPlayer video you might see a message "A general error has occurred" and a reference a general to a rtsp://link. This message appears because RealPlayer is not authenticating properly. If we run a packet capture when RealPlayer video does not play, then we can see that the RealPlayer application does not provide credentials to the Cisco Web Security Appliance.Below is the sequence of events that should happen when authentication works properly First socket-------------------------Client -> S-Series: GET ...WSA-> Client: 407 a general error Authorization required On a new socket-------------------------Client -> S-Series: GET ... With Real Player, theclient/application closes the connection after each of the above steps, and therefore proper authentication doesn't occur. Bypassing authentication for the RealPlayer, using its User Agent 'realplayer' will resolve this issue. For more information on how to bypass authentication based on the useragent, please refer to the following aritcle:https://techzone.cisco.com/t5/Web-Security-Appliance-WSA/How-to-bypass-authentication-for-specific-user-agents/ta-p/274340 Contributed by Cisco Engineers Jakob Dohrmann and Siddharth Rajpathak Cisco TAC Engineers.
