La solución es mucho más simple de lo que puede parecer. El mensaje de error aparece ni bien se ejecuta la a general system error occurred invalid fault herramienta, antes de comenzar a convertir. El problema está relacionado con los permisos de ejecución del VMware Converter en Windows 7. La solución: Ejecutar VMware Converter como administrador. A general system error occured: Crypto Excception: error: 02001005:system library:fopen:Input/output error:unable to load C:\ProgramData\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\ssl\rui.crt Cypto Exception error 020010005 Just in case you don't know how I got here, you can virtualize just about any Windows machine with VMware Workstation, so long the following conditions are met VMware vCenter a general Converter Standalone. This is installed automatically when you click the "Virtualize a Physical Machine" on VMware Workstation dashboard. FULL Administrative privileges on the machine you want to virtualize (If it's a domain machine, a domain admin account should do). The Virtualize a Physical Machine is available on the VMware dashboard. VMware dashboard Possible cause of error 02001005:system library:fopen:Input/output error This means that the VMware vCenter Standalone is trying to a general system load the .crt file but cannot, because it doesn't have administrative privileges on local machine. However, the issue is not with your account, it is with the VMware created user account used to do this (typically called __VMware_Converter__ or ___VMware_Conv_SA___). Solution: How to fix error 02001005 To fix error 02001005, grant administrative privileges to the ___VMware_Conv_SA___ or __VMware_Converter__ account, depending on your VMware version. How to grant administrative privilege to user account Run lusrmgr.msc (You can do this in command prompt cmd.exe, or by just typing it directly on the start menu) Open the Users container and double-click the __VMware_Converter__ or ___VMware_Conv_SA___ user At the Member Of tab, Add Administrators to the membership of the user Restart your computer how to fix error 02001005 The issue should be fixed now.
