Saturday, September 05, 2009 12:21 AM Reply | Quote Answers 3 Sign in to vote Active Directory Helper service is not supposed to be started from the service manager. This service is a helper service and it is only started from SQL engine when some task is needed in the active directory. The SQL Engine passes correct set of parameters and once the tasks is done the Active Directory Helper service will stop. You will see this service stopped for most of the time and you should not start it directly. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
