Re: Flash Player 11 Error:Failed to register pwillener Oct 16, 2012 9:44 PM (in response to grgdb) If reset_fp11.bat did not resolve the problem, you may be out of luck...But one last try: download the MSI installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html then right-click on it and select Run as Administrator. If that also fails to register, can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file from C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash - there may be some information in there that could help to identify which registry key cannot be accessed. Flash Player on my new computer lately. The download works fine, the installer runs but firefox after allowing the installer to modify my computer the installer just displays a grey window with no text or anything. when I click X at the top right, it doesn't close and I have to close it via Task Manager. Anyone know wtf is happening? Edit by a moderator. Flashplayer was working adobe flash yesterday using IE 7. Stopped working so I downloaded IE 8. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, everything. I even downloaded the SubInACL file that the Adobe website recommended to fix registry problems. I've done every bit of troubleshooting from Adobe website and still nothing. The download manager gets to 100% then says "Error: Failed adobe flash player to Register". I hit "Close Download Manager." A new window pops up prompting me to download the installer. I do then it says "Failed to Install." I have downloaded the standalone flash player package, I've tried installing flash player 9, nothing works! Any help would be very much appreciated!
