Richard says: November 9, 2012 at 9:52 am The recommendation to download the Flash Player for ActiveX is the only solution that has worked & I have spent hours every day for nearly a week trying to solve this problem. Every other solution stopped prior to finish. The Adobe site and suggestions are a waste of time. It wasn't until tonight I did a search for script error when installing. Your post did the trick! Beth says: December 8, 2012 at 9:58 am Thank you Thank You Thank You!!! I have had this problem for about 3 weeks. Tried their uninstall instructions and got nowhere. Edited registry, removed folders, etc! I have a 2003 Dell that I am trying to nurse for a few more months. Am running XP Professional. I sell on eBay and could not get IE to allow me to upload photos, etc. Going to give it a try now! I seriously did not want to reformat this new drive I put in in April. Thanks! John says: December 10, 2012 at 5:33 pm Thanks. This

You have had two years to fix this problem and all your suggested solutions do not work. I cannot see any alternative but to go back to Internet Explorer. It is so frustrating when I am checking my emails and click on a link to get the same message over and over again. Why is adobe flash it that this problem only happens with Firefox? It does not happen with Internet Explorer and it does not happen with Google Chrome. Otherwise Mozilla Firefox is great. I am so fed up with the error message that adobe flash plugin has crashed. Chosen solution This from Halofromsue copied here: Okay like I said in my last post, Yesterday I disabled Shockwave in Plugins. However, as you all know, you need shockwave and flash for most things....so I went back and set it to say "ASK TO ACTIVATE" so when a web page loads and needs it, it will ask me and then I'll either say "yes" or "no" and that seems to be working. So far, after three hours it hasn't crashed and shockwave/flash all work fine when it needs it. From me: It works! The last time it said the below (although the explanation lines seem to vary): An Adobe Flash Player Action Script error has occurred: Error #2044: Unhandled security Error: text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: http: [etc.] I have been shutting off Internet Explorer through the Task Manager rather than click on the "X" in the error message box. I thought maybe I had a virus, so I had Norton 360 do a full scan and all it found were cookies, which it fixed. Please tell me whatever this is, it is easy for me to fix and isn't some malware thing or something. Oh, and, of course, how to fix it, too, please. Thanks.
