2009 by martcj This happened on a client workstation that could save without issue to his local drive but visio 2013 an error occurred. visio is unable to complete exporting not to any of the network drives. The explanation from Microsoft is that these errors are caused ‘when a user’s network permissions are incompatible with the permissions that Visio needs in https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21792234/Visio-2000-An-Error-2-occured-during-the-action-Open-file-Out-of-memory-Try-closing-Visio-windows-or-other-applications-you-aren't-using.html order to save files.’ As I wasn’t able to replicate this problem elsewhere I was not quite sure what actual permission Visio requires. I found a retired Microsoft KB article that related to a similar problem with Visio 2000. To resolve this issue in Visio 2000 and 2003 · Open Visio 2003 and go to Tools then click Options and click the https://martcj.wordpress.com/2009/10/09/when-you-try-to-save-a-drawing-in-visio-2003-you-receive-the-error-%E2%80%98an-error-113-occurred-during-the-action-save-close-the-file-because-it-may-be-corrupt-%E2%80%99/ Advanced tab. Check the ‘Put all settings in the Windows registry’ box and click OK. The Microsoft help function states that enabling this option ‘Adds all possible application settings into the Windows registry. By default, only certain settings are added (nondefault settings and very few others, such as file paths, import and export filters, and last files) to keep the registry settings simple.’ · Open up the registry (Start>Run> Regedit) and click OK Locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER’Software’Microsoft’Office’11.0’Visio’Application · In the right hand pane double click NetFlags and change its value from 0 to 3. Click ‘OK’ and exit the Registry Editor For Visio 2000 the registry key is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER’Software’Visio’Visio 2000’Application · Open Visio and try to amend or create a drawing and save it to a network drive to see if the problem is resolved. to save a Visio 2007 worksheet as a graphic.During this process, you experience the following error: Resolution This problem is often caused by objects outside of http://alstechtips.blogspot.com/2012/04/error-920-occurred-during-action-save.html the worksheet that Visio is unable to adequately fit into the viewing area for rendering into an image. These objects can be located so far off the worksheet that it is difficult to immediately view them; and the scroll bar won't give any indication that these objects are there (it only tracks the current worksheet. However, there is a simple way to an error remove these unwanted objects lying outside the worksheet. Zoom out from the worksheet a bit, and then press CTRL + A. This selects all of the objects on the current tab. Note that a dashed green line surrounds the worksheet, but that it appears to extend outside of the current zoom view. This indicates that the current selection has captured objects lying outside occurred during the of the current worksheet. Now, zoom outward until you can see the entire selection area. In the image below, the zoom level is such that the actual worksheet is miniscule; and now the other objects can be seen. Delete these other objects. Then press CTRL + A again to ensure that no more objects lay outside of the worksheet. Once the dashed green selection line only surrounds the current worksheet, you can safely save the current worksheet as an image without encountering further Visio 920 errors. Happy computing!
