Test Screen Name Jul 24, 2012 7:42 AM (in response to darrenii) The error is vague, but from your reply the detail would not help you at all. The file has an error at the very lowest level of internal stuff - this is nothing to do with your Excel file, though it could possibly be a marginally corrupt graphic passed through. It's that or a bug in the PDF creator. This is a community forum. Perhaps you could point at a file on your web site for others to pick apart. 1 person found this helpful Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: "An error exists on this page." - too vague! darrenii Jul 24, 2012 8:12 AM (in response to Test Screen Name) Thanks for the offer of help. Here is the file (edited to remove client info).http://94.136.40.103/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage26/de/ts/_c/dets.co.uk/public_html/public _html/I01267.pdfTo fill out the story a little more, the error seems to go away with Acrobat v10 (or whatever is the latest). However, what is not acceptable is that some of my clients cannot even see the text in the pdf - just the background graphic. "Publish as PDF problems VISIO 2007" I wanted to be more specific, as this an error problem is not going away. My problem is that Adobe Reader will not open my PDF's which I publish from VISIO. I think the problem started with version 9; but I am not sure. Adobe displays the error: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem" I have no an error exists problem opening these PDFs with Foxit Reader for example; but it is a little awkward asking a customer to download this free reader to view a product data sheet or system manual. I have found that making sure I have no rotated or flipped fill patterns will often help Adobe work; but not always. Sort of hard to tell people to not use Adobe. I have attached two PDFs illustrating the problem. They have the same shapes but in the one that will not open in adobe the shapes are rotated. Is this a know problem? Might be time to be patient and wait for a fix to be released. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." In the map, there is as well a lack of some features or at least feature parts. Creating PDFs is a very basic requirement.
