Altough I properly changed the request_uri parameter and updated my app settings with the new domain, the error kept showing up. Then I realized that the ID and the SECRET ID of my Facebook APP had automatically changed with no warning!! The whole thing started working again using the new ID. share|improve this answer answered Nov 16 '11 at 15:58 community wiki albert Absolutely! At this point, it seems to be exclusive to this users account. I'm sure there are other users out there experiencing the same thing, but at this point I have no ability to reproduce the problem or have any idea what the cause is. It does seem to be tied to particular users, so I'm guessing there's something they have configured in their Facebook account that we're not handing properly. If you have any idea on how to reproduce this problem I'll happily take a look into it, but right now I don't have enough information to reproduce and fix the problem. Find out more Facebook failed to apologize in any way for borking its partners out of millions of pageviews. Also, it did not say how it intends to never have this happen again. — This isn’t good. An apparent issue with Facebook Connect is dragging people from around the Internet, from news sites, to Hulu, even from Facebook’s own status page, to a page that simply states “An error occurred. Please try again later.” Here’s a shot of it in action: The URL is garbled, but given the plethora of sites that you can hit to reach this page, TNW is laboring under the presumption that Facebook Connect is to blame. When you hit the blue ‘Okay’ button, you will be taken to a blank screen. If you hit the back button, the page you had wished to be on will be served to you, but only until the problem kicks back in and Facebook takes you hostage again. T
