Everytime I try to burn a Video_TS folder, and I click the "options" button to only select certain parts this happens. It happens every time - I've tried many different Video_TS folders this way and get the error every time. Up until now, I've just switched to another program for burning things that I wanted to compress as well, but now I'm tired of now being able to use Toast for what it is made for. I used to be able to burn and compress with older versions of Toast. Any idea what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated! Using Toast 10.0.8 on an iMac 27" core i7 with 12GB of RAM. If you have an earlier version of Toast 10 then use it when you want to do the fit-to-DVD compression. The feature does work if you do not deselect any content but fit the entire source VIDEO_TS folder. You don't need the entire Toast 10 Titanium folder from an earlier version; just the Toast application itself. You can have (and use) multiple versions of Toast on the same computer. Another option is to have Toast make a new VIDEO_TS folder of just the content you want

I'm using 7.0.2 on a Ibook. someone suggested that there wasn't enough space on the harddrive so I cleared out and have 9 gig's clear http://www.textndata.com/forums/toast-problem-error-has-occured-848509.html (the video files are on an external firewire drive) and the file I was trying to compress is less that 8? I'm using MTR to make the Video files. The thing is that NOTHING has changed the only thing I can think of is the update to 10.4.7? The other thing was someone lent me a copy of 7.1 toast which I installed but I realized it was for the intel chip and went backwards for the sake of stability - and look what happened! I did remove that totally and did a new install of 7.0.2 I've done this a many times without a hitch and now I have to run to the PC in the house - UGH - and do it there where there is no problem with the same exact DVD. Roxio is amazing because someone wrote that error message but it's nowhere to be found on their site. Any help would be appreciated. This is a problem that has not been resolved on any board out there. occurred recompressing the https://m.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/d03c8/anyone_else_having_trouble_with_roxio_toast_in/ video". I can use the DVD-Video form, instead of VIDEO_TS Folders to strip the extras out, but if any compression http://standard.error.channel.formula.winwizards.org/ is involved I get this error. Toast worked fine for years, and then this started. I tried going up an error to version 10. Partitioned my drive and installed Leopard, and re-installed version 8. Nothing works. I see on Toast forums that these problems go back 3 or more years, but Roxio seems uninterested in customer relations. 40BestPost is archivedspdorsey an error has • 2241d, 7hI just installed Toast 10 and it burns dial-layer Blu-Ray discs with no issues. Toast 9 failed a few times (thus the upgrade). I usually use the OS or "Burn" to burn data DVDs or CDs. 2doctorcaligari • 2241d, 8hI haven't had any problems, but I'm only using Toast 8 for simple data backups. And yes, Roxio's support for the Mac is seriously lacking. You could try Burn (http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html). It's an open-source DVD burning program for the Mac. The description says it can handle DVD-Video. 1iSteve • 2241d, 7hThanks. I think I tried Burn and another freeware app, but it didn't have the strip the extras option. 1[deleted] • 2241d, 1hTry a different torrent?
