An Error Has Occurred During Report Processing
7 posts, 0 answers Jeffery Gray 4 posts Member since: Feb 2010 Posted 16 Aug 2010 Link to this post Hi, I get the error in the title when attempting to run a report via a webviewer. The page gives the user an option to select 1 of 5 reports to view. Depending on selection, the report will run ok, if a different report is then selected, it may or may not run. The reports are contained in a separate assembly that the page references, the data source is set at run time within the assembly by setting it to a dataview. If one of a group of 4 reports run successfully, all of those 4 will run ok, but the 5th will fail. If the 5th runs ok, the other 4 will fail. The success or failure appears to be determined by which group the first report generated on the page is from, after a rebuild of the assembly. I have tried adding a second report viewer to the page, setting the group with 1 report to only use it, but still get this issue. I tried creating a separate page for the 1 report, but still same results, error

The report was built in a class library, "blah.Reports" and then the project was added to my application. I added the reference to the class library as well. When I try to set the "Report" property of the ReportViewer in my page I get a Visual Studio Error: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: key Because I could not get around this I tried another route: I looked at some examples and manually set the report property in the xaml with this: blah.Reports.Statement, blah.Reports, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null Now the report shows up in the page with text boxes to enter the parameters, but as soon as I enter them I receive a new error: An error has occurred while processing Report 'Statement': Unable to establish a connection to the database. Please, verify that your connection string is valid. In case you use a named connection string from the application configuration file, make sure the name is correct and the connection string settings are present in the configuration file of your application. ------------- InnerException ------------- Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 0. Was recently using V11.2 When we run our test environment locally the reports work, but when we install on a remote server we dont. All reports fail with the same error: Infragistics.Reports.Engine.EngineException:An error occurred while processing report parameters We even get this error if the reports do not have parameters. Are there any known issues regarding this? If not, then what would be the main reason why we are getting this exception. Would appreciate any help as this is becoming a major stumbling block. Can you please send me a solution where the problem is happening? I saw a couple of things that you should fix in the web.config (but those don’t seem to be related with the problem you mention).
