Advertisement susanlprince Thread Starter Joined: Jul 24, 1999 Messages: 204 When opening Outlook Express 6 I have it set to open to Inbox. It almost immediately pops up an error: Msimn has caused an error in DIRECTDB.DLL Msimn will now close. I thought to try to fix any problems with the IE6 program using Add/Remove Program from Settings in Windows ME, but that solved nothing. I thought to try to redownload all of IE6 but that isn't working either. I get an https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/225867 error that the setup files are missing and to restart then resume setup which is supposed to download the missing files. That's not working either. I don't know if those problems are related or not. user. Recently outlook has been unable to connect to my server(cable)so I cannot recieve or send. I get the message "Msimn has caused an error in http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/msimn-error-in-directdb-dll.808374/ DIRECTDB.DLL outlook will now close if you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer". Needless to say the problem continues. I have used system restore to a time when things were fine but the same error message comes up. msimn.exe is the file that runs outlook and directdb.dll is an application extension file. I am at a loss about what to do. an error My cable works fine for the internet so I dont think it is a problem with the server. Any ideas?
