Registry Editor Could Not Set Owner On The Key Currently Selected
Hello, First of all, I suggest you restart the computer in Safe Mode to see if the problem also occurs in this mode. Safe Mode loads a minimally protected-mode configuration, disabling Windows device drivers and using the standard VGA display adapter. Because you receive a "Access denied" error, typically it results from the insufficient permission on the key. Please take the ownership of the key and verify the permissions on it. 1. Right click the key--->Permissions…--->Advanced--->Owner tab. 2. Choose the built-in Administrators group and click apply. 3. in the Permissions tab, verify whether the local administrator has been granted proper permission on it. If not, please grant administrator Full Control permission to see whether it works. If the issue persists, please export the key and send to me at tfwst@microsoft.com for the further investgation. 1. Choose the key in left panel. 2. Menu File--->Export, and save it as Registry Hive files.
