Want to Advertise Here? Solved Is it possible to allow per user Active X control install on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2310253 Windows Server 2008 R2 RDS? Posted on 2010-08-25 Web Browsers Windows Server 2008 1 Verified Solution 7 Comments 7,693 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-08 We have two 2008 R2 RDS boxes, with about 75 users across them, and the need for each user to install Active X controls for web meetings (such as WebEx and GoToMeeting). I have played around with our group policies, tried installing https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26428906/Is-it-possible-to-allow-per-user-Active-X-control-install-on-Windows-Server-2008-R2-RDS.html the Active X controls as admin, etc. but we need a more scalable solution. It is not possible for us to have to install each Active X control to the server each time a user needs access to a different site, nor do I want to have all the Active X controls installed server-wide. I would much rather they be installed per user, then if the user gets hosed, we can just delete / recreate the profile. I have set up the GPO to allow a "quiet" install - there is no yellow bar asking the user to install the Active X control, but I am getting an error on install: An error occurred while copying file

You go to dock your Olympus DS-7000, and you receive the message, “An error occurred while copying files.” What does this mean? Chances are good that, for some unknown reason, one of your dictations has become corrupted. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the information is inaccessible, though. Before you freak out too much, try dragging the file in question onto your desktop. You should find that it moves easily and copies onto your local machine. You should be able to play it, too. For whatever reason, though, this dictation won’t move through ODMS. Just handle it as an exception. How Do I Fix My Problem? Make sure to move any existing files off of the recorder. The non-corrupt ones should download like normal. Check the firmware on the device. For instance, the Olympus DS7000 should be running version 1.20. Here are instructions on how to update the firmware. Reformat the memory card(s) by going to Menu > Device Menu > Format > [Select Card] > Start. If you use internal and external cards, be sure to format both of them. Make sure you
