| Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi What kind of ODD that you have? Any light indicator? Can you provide your PC spec? What kind of CD/DVDthat you put inside your ODD?When this issue start happen? my suggestion go to BIOS and eject your ODD (to eliminate 3rd party SW issue), using eject button or you can use needle to force eject I don't think this is OS issue, you can also try remove ODD inside device manager or delete upper lower filter to eliminate driver or registry issue Edited by Andy NugrahaMicrosoft contingent staff Tuesday, January 07, 2014 7:35 AM Proposed as answer by kelvin_hsuMicrosoft contingent staff, Moderator Thursday, January 09, 2014 4:05 PM Marked as answer by Ronnie VernonModerator Thursday, January 09, 2014 10:12 PM Tuesday, January 07, 2014 7:35 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Check : http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/an-error-occurred-while-ejecting-dvd-rw-drive-e/3cdf50f2-08f7-494d-8af9-b37236c4a03a Arnav Sharma | Facebook | Twitter Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you,

of My CD-ROM Drives?? 31 Oct 2013 #1 brz1980 View Profile View Forum Posts Junior Member Posts : 3 Windows 8.1 "Eject" Option Doesn't Work for ANY of My CD-ROM Drives?? Hello all, am http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/34586-eject-option-doesnt-work-any-my-cd-rom-drives.html running Win 8.1 Pro x64. Today I noticed that the "Eject" option from the right-click menu doesn't work for either of my 2 CD-Rom drives, nor for a "virtual" drive - I get the same error https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2201957?start=0&tstart=0 message on all 3: "An error occured while ejecting [drive]". Device Manager shows no errors, and I've tried uninstalling the drives and rebooting, but error persists. Can anyone help? Also, to be clear, it is an error NOT a physical problem with the drives, as I can open them without a problem through the buttons on the front. Finally, if for some reason I can't fix this issue, does anyone know of a way to at least just DELETE the "Eject" from the context menu? With that said, there are several freeware programs available to create these shortcuts so I would just google for: how to create a shortcut to eject cd Then pick one and try it out. I hve done this before; however, I can't remember which one I used but I think it was NirSoft. Good luck. My System Specs You need to have JavaScript enabled so that you can use this ... I had to reboot into OS X and eject the disc. After, I booted back into Win7 and tried inserting/ejecting the same disc and didn't have any problems.I will note that I had to rename the AppleMNT.sys file due to BSODs I was getting with HFS. I'll update this post if the issue with the DVD drive relapses. It happened to my Snow leopard disc as well as some other disc. So basically the disc has to be eject out after use. If you leave it inside and restart ur windows 7, you will not be able to eject the disc. And an error message will show Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Darkcat_Systems, Darkcat_Systems Dec 4, 2009 3:56 AM in response to Daniel Groves Level 1 (0 points) Dec 4, 2009 3:56 AM in response to Daniel Groves I have just got this problem, been fine for a couple of weeks since install, but now im finding i cant eject under win7...
