Feel a bit bad just turning up and asking for help but here goes. First of all my system is: ASUS A7V-E socket A motherboard with KT133 chipset AMD Duron 900mhz processor 256mb RAM Windows 98 I used to have a voodoo 16mb graphics card but today decided to upgrade. I bought and fitted a https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?148399-Won-t-Install-New-Programs Geforce FX 5200 AGP (and felt very proud of myself as nothing melted and i didnt have to go to casualty). However when i restarted my system the wizard came up for the monitor (PBN PNP A520) i followed the instructions for finding the right driver but now i can only get 16 colours and 640 x 480. I believe looking through other posts i might need a new agp driver. but i dont know https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-hello-and-graphics-card-problem.248651/ where to get this or what to look for. does anyone have any suggestions? they would be much appreciated. P.S tried giving it a bit of a kick but that didnt seem to solve the problem. jamesrwatson, Jul 10, 2004 #1 Sponsor etaf Wayne Moderator Joined: Oct 2, 2003 Messages: 60,801 Hi, and welcome to the TSG forum did you get a driver CD with the graphics card ?? if so instal it. if not got tothe manaufacturer of the card and download a driver. i think these can be distrubuted under a number of different manufacturers names and i'm not 100% about the drivers if they are all the same . so if its made by msi - got to the msi site and load the driver etaf, Jul 10, 2004 #2 jamesrwatson Thread Starter Joined: Jul 10, 2004 Messages: 124 thanks for the warm welcome and quick response old boy.
