Not so great in production the next day! The site was crawling - like 45+ seconds to load a page - and an OOTB navigation web part didn't have any links. A little background... Farm is comprised of three servers: 1 app and 2 WFEs. The app sits on the internal network and the 2 WFEs are in the DMZ. This site was created as a Windows authentication site and extended with Claims authentication on the WFEs. My Windows auth site was on the app server (internal network). It was speedy and there were no errors with the navigation web part. The Claims site (on the WFEs in the DMZ) were super slow with the error. When we hovered over the error, it lead us to believe the issues were around the User Profile Application. Click here for the screenshot.
