This form used a data connection (*.udcx) stored in the Sharepoint site. It worked fine when I ran it on my machine. The problem was once I published it to the Sharepoint site and ran it. I got an error message as shown below. An error occurred accessing a data source. An entry has https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a6945aed-55bf-4c94-9fec-912ac55f6680/an-error-occurred-accessing-a-data-source-?forum=sharepointcustomizationlegacy been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID:6932 How should I fixe this problem? or is this problem a disadvantage of a data connection when a form is browser-compatible? Any ideas? data source The following error can occur when http://www.office-forums.com/threads/publish-template-error-6932.99272/ a user attempts to submit an InfoPath form: Fig. 1. InfoPath Error This error is an error caused by the user not having rights on the parent site but only on the sub site. As the K2 blackpearl Data Connections Library is created on the parent site an error occurred and not on the sub site the user can access the form but cannot submit the form. Resolution Assign ‘Read’ permissions for the user directly on the K2 blackpearl Data Connections Library in the parent site (View All Site Content). browser form Moss 2007 (one web/query server, one application/index server(hosting Central Administration), one DB server) When I create the form that uses a web service (http://server1/ vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx?WSDL) to get GetUserProfilebyName method to retrieve user info and publish it to my dev server (which is both web/query & index server) it works fine!! Problem is when I try to publish it to my production server (see above "Setup"), I get An error occurred accessing a data source. "Error 6932" In SharePoint logs I see below: "The form could not retrieve data from http://server1/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx because it would violate cross-domain restrictions. To allow this connection for administrator-approved form templates, enable full trust for the form template, or add the connection to a Data Connection Library. For user form templates, cross-domain connections must be enabled in SharePoint Central Administration, and all connections must be in a Data Connection Library....." Should I install InfoPath on my web server and than try to publish it? or according to below link, put data connection on MOSS http://www.sharepointblogs.com/agoo...ublishing-browser-enabled-infopath-forms.aspx Any help is needed. thanks andyoye, Apr 30, 2008 #1 Advertisements andyoye Guest Issue resolved by convert web service connection and create a data connection lib on Moss.
