There's a lot I don't know. I have a Visual Basic 2008 Express application that is ready to go. I want to set it up using ClickOnce so that it can be easily updated using my website. I have Vista Business on my computer and have installed IIS. I also have Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. When I attempt to Publish from Visual Studio here's https://forums.iis.net/t/prev/1150496 what it says. Error1Failed to connect to 'http://www.mywebsite.biz/My Application Name/' with the following error: Unable to create the Web site 'http://www.mywebsite.biz/My Application Name/'. An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services site files. Authors - if authoring against a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's application event log for more details. I replaced the name of my website and the name of my application to keep it anonymous here. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction or recommend some reading for me. I have Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 Resource Kit. Perhaps I'll end up reading it cover to cover. Would you suggest any particualr chapter or chapters to read in this. Everything seens correct but the error persists. It looks like there is no direct relation to SharePoint and something else in the server but I was not able to determine what could cause such behaviour. Hope someone here has something to say. sharepoint sharepoint-designer share|improve this question asked Aug 23 '14 at 20:04 Andre Morata 396 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted Well... After a very long and painful headache we were able to find out what was causing this malfunction. It was a .net agent from New Relic. This agent is used to analyse traffic, page load time and some other cool things. It basicly add some javascript to the head session of every response our IIS make and this code send some data to New Relic servers that will be processed to bui

That way redundant help is not received and others are not taxed timewise over something already being resolved. Thank you in advance. Until the Windows server 2003 sp1 update was applied - all of our sites worked fine. Currently we receive errors when we try to publish the webs to the server. [An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services site files. Authors - if authoring against a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's application event log for more details.] The websites are located on a small webserver. It is a windows 2003 server, IIS6.0 with FPSE 2002. SharePoint is not used. FP2003 is used on a local computer to work on some of the client sites. The edited content is then published to the above webserver with minimal to no issues - (until the update on Thursday evening). We have worked the full weekend trying to resolve this - following advice from uninstalling IIS, FPSE, Asp.net and reinstalling it - to changing permissions on sites. We can no longer publish from local computer to remote [meaning the server] and can not publish from the server to local machine. If you can help - I would deeply appreciate it. I rely on the one website for my local clients and the webserver for some other clients. 1) An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services site files.
