Email is still flowing in and out of the network without any problem from what I can see. However, the process might be moving slower than usual.I am also getting shadow copies errors.. not sure if this is related or not.Even though as of right now the email is functioning, I feel that if action isn't taken it could get worse. However, I now http://rendfest.blogspot.com/2005/11/source-pop3-connector-event-id-1019.html get three errors in the Event Viewer, the most informative of which is: Event Type: Error Event Source: POP3 Connector Event Category: Download Event ID: 1036 Date: 29/05/2006 Time: an error 10:30:16 User: N/A Computer: BSERVER Description: An error occurred during a POP3 transaction to server . The error is 1232 (The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help. ). The other an error occurred two just say the process was ended and finished with errors. I've tried pinging the mail server address and it seems fine. I can't find any other information relating to the error number. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks Sherratt . about stuff to add send me an e-mail. Friday, November 18, 2005 Source POP3 Connector Event ID 1019 "The message download process finished with one or more errors"I'm trying a fix mentioned on EventID.net that claims if you add POP3 server to the hosts file it clears up this error.http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1019&eventno=4255&source=POP3%20Connector&phase=1Upon further research I found a couple more event IDs being generated:Source POP3 Connector Event ID 1023The downloading process for mailbox < [pop.gmail.com]> was ended with one or more errors.Source POP3 Connector Event ID 1036An error occurred during a POP3 transaction to server ]>. The error is 1232 [The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help.]So I guess pop.gmail.com is not the correct location to download my e-mails, I'll do some research and see if I can determine the correct location. In the mean time removing this account entry has resolved my error, the host file addition did not fix the issue. posted by Erik Lee at 7:04 AM 0 Comments: Post a Comment << Home About Me Name: Erik Lee View my complete profile Previous Posts The following entry in the [strings] section is to...
