Well it was, I've moved some users to the 2010 box with blackberries (iphones working fine) and I can't get it working with BIS (blackberry internet services) Whatever settings I try I get a An error occurred during email account validation. I'm using http://mail.mydomain.com/owa url, which works fine and the authentication settings I'm trying (username / password) work fine in owa. Close to the point of pulling my hair out on this issue, is there a way to find out what it's failing on? Have I missed something very simple? Also see if you can see the Exchange Web Services directory: (input a username/password) `http://mail.maildomain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx` `https://mail.maildomain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx` You should get an XML page after successful authentication. share|improve this answer answered May 10 '12 at 10:29 ewwhite 150k47294573 I've tried now with and without and it works (in owa) and EWS works fine, but EWS isnt the link that goes in BIS settings yeah? –Tom Beech

On Friday morning, I got an email suggesting that my BB couldn't access my work account and that the password must have been changed. I know that couldn't have happened as I didn't change the password, plus I run the IT department, so I know that nothing else there was changed. I went on an error occurred to BIS and did the following: :: resent the service books - didn't work :: tried validating the email account - didn't work :: tried retyping the password (that hadn't changed) - didn't work :: deleted the account from BIS - which deleted the account from my BB, but left the messages intact within the main message "pot" on my BB :: I've restarted the device too, then tried to add on the account again from both the handset and BIS - nothing ... I've looked around and seen on a couple of posts that it has happened on Gmail and Yahoo and rights itself after a day or so - mine started late Thursday night (GMT). Can anyone help me please? http://www.erme.co.uk | PIN: 25435BC7 | skype: elliottriley Reply With Quote 07-08-2007,07:26 AM #2 jdellasala Device Pro Join Date Mar 2006 Posts 1,573 Re: An error occurred during email account validation message Accessing Corporate email through BIS is sometimes not allowed by the company's security policy, as is the case with the company I work for. I attempted to setup the email account on the handheld but it failed indicating the login information was incorrect. i called att/blackberry and they had me perform the steps online. however the setup failed due to the following error:AN ERROR OCCURRED DURING EMAIL VALIDATION. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INFORMATION AND TRY AGAIN. IF THE ERROR PERSISTS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.the problem was eventually escalated to RIM and an analyst indicated that our EXCHANGE WEB SERVICES protocol is configured incorrectly. He stated that it may be as simple as modifing the virtual directory listing. My problem is i am very weak in Exchange (especially 2007). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thankslen Share Flag This conversation is currently closed to new comments. 3 total posts (Page 1 of 1) + Follow this Discussion · | Thread display: Collapse - | Expand + All Answers Collapse - re: Blackberry and Services by ThumbsUp2 · 8 years ago In reply to MS Exchange 2007 / Blackb ...
