The RSClientPrint files, which are required when printing a report from the report mananger, are stored in the “Downloaded Program Files” folder. If you have not tried the suggestions provided by Jerry Nee in the thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlreportingservices/thread/3281a042-8a98-4f0f-834b-ee09bc54dc74, please try the suggestions first. If it doesn’t work, please try to assign the write permission of the “Downloaded Program Files” folder to the specific user on the report server computer. The detailed steps are provided in the KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308419#4 At this time,

Chosen solution Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps: Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu). Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default: Windows: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder. Yes, it’s another bug in SSRS. One of my http://forums.asp.net/t/1580907.aspx?An+error+occurred+during+printing+080004005+SSRS+2008 colleagues building a MOSS portal that integrated with SSRS. We are facing a problem when user clicks on print from ‘Action’ button. The first dialog prompted to choose the printer but when press print, an error the following error message pop up indicate “An error occurred during printing. (0x8007F303)”. If click preview button rather than print, a preview of blank report with the words: “An error occurred trying to render the report (0x8007f303)”. Guess what is the problem??? After hours of searching, debugging and googling, he manage to find out the root cause. This is because we did some customization on the reporting an error occurred services web.config file. We remove the export “tif” file type in the reporting services web.config file. We do know why this little change is causing the big problem during printing. Hope this helps! To Fix this IE -> Tools -> InternetOption -> Settings -> View Objects -> Remove RS Client Print object or do the update. Now click the icon from the report . The Active-x control will be downloaded to install again freshly to get working. (080004005) - SSRS 2008 Jul 20, 2010 04:44 PM|ssanchez076|LINK This is my scenario: Database: SQL Server 10.50 and SSRS 2008 R2 App: I'm doing an ASP.NET application using ReportViewer component. The web app is developed on Visual Studio 2010. When i try to print the reports using the development server there's no issue. Once i do a deployment on the qa server, enter the site and click over the Print button, and install the active x, a pop up window comes and this error is shown: An error occurred during printing . (080004005) For more details on the error: Message: Unspecified error. Line: 1012 Char: 13 Code: 0 URI:http://mysite/Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd?OpType=Resource&Version=10.0.30319.1&Name=ViewerScript I've invested hours on internet but all solutions point to SSRS 2005. I took a look on C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files. My development server (wich runs when i click debug on Visual Studio) installs these files: RSClientPrint-x86.inf rsclientprint.dll rsclientprint_3082.rll rsclientprint_2052.rll rsclientprint_1049.rll rsclientprint_1046.rll rsclientprint_1042.rll rsclientprint_1041.rll rsclientprint_1040.rll rsclientprint_1036.rll rsclientprint_1033.rll rsclientprint_1031.rll rsclientprint_1028.rll And works fine. But when i go to the qa site IE asks for installing again the ActiveX. Why happens this if the dev server all ready have done that? FYI QA Site and Development uses the same SSRS url, their not in different servers. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
