Install IBM Lotus Domino v8.5.2 ON Z/LINUX. 2. Create new Domino Server. 3. Install Fix Pack 2 for Lotus Domino v8.5.2. 4. Start-up Server. 5. Register New User. 6. Login to iNotes as New User. 7. Click on Preferences. 8. On Basics tab, change Spell an error occurred during file system check redhat Check Default Dictionary to one of the Languages listed in AFFECTED LANGUAGES. 9. Click "Save & Close" button. 10. Create New Memo. 11. Type any characters into Body of message. 12. Click on Spell-Check button. 13. iNotes UI Status-bar reports "Starting Spell Check...". 14. Then, the following error is displayed in iNotes UI Status-bar: "A potential server error occurred during spell check". Local fix To work-around the issue, the affected *.dic files can be replaced from a Win32 v852FP2 Domino Server. Note, UID/GUID/Permission-bits MUST BE changed accordingly. You may get an error that says Error occurred while checking spelling when you use the spell checker with Outlook 2000. This error can be caused by several things: The Microsoft Office shared Proofing Tools are not installed. The insertion point is not inside the body of the message when you perform the spell check. The spell checking features are not configured properly. Try the following steps to fix the problem: 1. On the Spelling tab, make sure Always suggest replacements for misspelled words and Always check spelling before sending are both checked. 2. If General Options are not available on the Spelling tab, then you need to add the feature. 3. Open Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Click to select Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Outlook 2000, whichever is shown and then click Add/Remove. 4. You may also get the same error if no Custom Dictionary is defined. To select a custom dictionary do the following: 1. Open Microsoft Word, click Tools and then click Options 2. Click the Spelling and Grammar tab and then click Dictionaries. 3. Make sure that a check is place next to the file Custom.dic. Click Ok 3 times. 4. If there is no custom dictionary, click on Add and in Add Custom Dictionary, and type a name for the new dictionary in the File name box, and then click Ok. Proceed with step three to apply the new custom dictionary.
