Solved Having errors when installing Quickbooks Enterprise 12.0 Posted on 2012-09-02 Windows XP Windows Server 2008 QuickBooks 1 Verified Solution 23 Comments 1,975 Views Last Modified: 2012-09-28 I'm trying to install Quickbooks Enterprise v12.0 on a Windows 2008 Standard server and an XP Pro workstation. The server will hold the data and the workstation will be a client. Both workstations are giving me the same errors when trying to install and I believe they are Windows issues, not necessarily QBooks. The installation is failing when installing MSMXL 4.0 and the Visual C++ component. When installing MSXML 4.0: an error occurred during the installation of assembly component [303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6-88EEBDB ] HRESULT: 0x80070005. I've done the following on the 2008 server: 1) run the setup.exe as an administrator 2) downloaded and tried installing MSXML 4.0 & VBScript as separate downloads from Microsoft's website. 3) installed .net Framework 3.5 SP1 I've looked through several forums online and nobody has a resolution.
