The first: "An error occurred during the message tracking decode operation. Function:ScOpen . <<0xc0070005 - Access is denied.>>" The second: "An error occurred https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/52d703bc-9f72-4ff2-818e-d0f7aa7452b9/event-id-5007-msexchangesa?forum=exchangesvrdeploylegacy during the message tracking decode operation. error from file: y:\admin\src\libs\rpc\rwlog.cxx line: 517. <<0xc0070005 - Access is denied.>>" The third: "An error occurred during the message tracking decode operation. Function:ScSaveGatewayTrackingDataEx . <<0xc0070005 - Access is denied.>>" These stop when I turn off message tracking on that particular server. I have it enabled on others without issue. I checked the rights to the log directory listed under the registry key and it matches with the http://forums.msexchange.org/Multiple_Event_ID_5007/m_30561600/tm.htm server that isn't having a problem. I'm very curious also about the path listed in the second error. I have no idea what that is supposed to be. It doesn't exist. Any help is appreciated. All the things they say to look for are correct. I have checked out all the Q articles they refer to. Nothing explains the above error. ---Rich Jensen (in reply to Guest) Post #: 3 RE: Multiple Event ID 5007 - 13.Mar.2008 12:23:52 PM d15k Posts: 1 Joined: 13.Mar.2008 Status: offline Hi, guest. were you eventually able to resolve the issue? I opened up the exchange system manager and tried to disable message tracking thinking that I could stop the error and then find the problem. When I disabled tracking under the server properties, I get an pop up error From the Exchange System manager that says Access denied Facility Win32 Id No 80070005 Microsoft Exchange Management. If i check the enable message tracking box. I then get a message that reads "in order to successfully track messages, you will need to grant read access to the share \\ethmail\ethmail.log to users performing message tracking." I have to click cancel to leave The location of my log files are C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\ETHMAIL.log. When I try to change it to the E: drive, our data drive, I get the same error. I tried to use the Message tracking tools, and i get the same result. I have tried to use our Enterprise admin account and my admin account all of which have full control over the share and are Members of the Enterprise admin group but I get the same error. 0 Question by:reyhanpat Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 9 Best Solution byVeerappan Sundaram Also check the below KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832037 >>>> Veera.
