An Error Occurred In The Pervasive.sql Layer
Discussions My Discussions Add Sage Intelligence Pastel Partner Pervasive Error Posted by Cindy Bothma on January 9, 2015 at 11:59am in Sage Pastel Intelligence Reporting View Discussions Good Day, I am hoping that someone could enlighten me on this error message I have received at 2 separate clients doing demo's of the Sage Intelligence Module and Training. Once on my computer and once at each of the above clients. "The Pastel Auto Connection system failed to create a link to you data. The error returned was: - An error occurred in the Pervasive.SQL layer. The error was [Named database already exists on the server.]" In the Report manager within the Sage Intelligence I have selected the Server name and check the database names are not duplicated and if so deleted them. In fact I deleted all of databases there and still got the above error message. I was then advised that this could be due to the fact that I don't have a site licence for my laptop outside of my network. For my clients I was advised that this is due to the pervasive and that I needed to uninstall and re-install pervasive. At my last client I was advised that this was due to the incompatibility between Pervasive version 9 (which client was on) and Windows 8.1 (which client is using) and that I needed to uninstall and re-install Pervasive 10. (Bearing in mind that client is registered for Pervasive 9 and that this is workstation - there are multiple users of pastel). This issue has yet to be rectified. If anyone has any advise or knowledge to share with me I would be so grateful. Many Thanks Cindy Tags: Share Tweet Views: 1412 ▶ Reply to This Replies to This Discussion Permalink Reply by nanah on January 9, 2015 at 1:19pm hi Cindy, looks like a generic error, I have seen this before, on my pc it is was caused by an old build of intelligence. I had to get pastel to send me they latest build version 14 build 107. then then assisted me with deleting the DSN engines. I would suggest giving them a call. 011 304 3131 ▶ Reply RSS Welcome toThe Sage Intelligence Communit

Is this local at the server or are you using a remote Terminal Server session?2. Does this occur for both System and User DSNs? 3. Can you create a new DSN/DBN? 4. Can you create a new DSN pointing to an existing DBN (like DEMODATA)? 06-14-2006 12:13 PM In reply to swissinc Joined on 03-21-2003 Posts 65 Re: Error 7011: Insufficient access rights Reply Contact 1. Yes I can create one User/System DSN entry pointing to the existing DEMODATA and/or DefaultDB5. The Analyser pass on DEMODATA on the server fine. 06-14-2006 4:09 PM In reply to info@mirtheil.com Joined on 12-01-2001 Posts 2,786 Re: Error 7011: Insufficient acces
