Altough I properly changed the request_uri parameter and updated my app settings with the new domain, the error kept showing up. Then I realized that the ID and the SECRET ID of my Facebook APP had automatically changed with no warning!! The whole thing started working again using the new ID. share|improve this answer answered Nov 16 '11 at 15:58 community wiki albert Absolutely! Carrot Creative member jescalan commented Mar 27, 2014 Remove the facebook app_id from the options. You probably copy-pasted the example from our example page and it uses our facebook application id. You don't need an app id for it to work, that's just an error occurred an option you can use to get tighter fb integration. You can find all this info in the docs if you take a moment to scan them over 😀 jescalan added the debug-request label Mar 27, 2014 carolineschnapp commented Mar 27, 2014 Oh yeah, dumb of me! 😖 Thanks again @jenius ! Carrot Creative member jescalan commented Mar 27, 2014 No problem, if I had a dollar for every person who has made that same mistake and posted slash emailed me that problem I would... well, probably have like 10 more dollars. But either way you are certainly not the first person so no worries. jescalan closed this Mar 27, 2014 Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. Already have an account? In this article I'll show you how to get started using the Facebook PHP SDK. You'll learn about the Facebook Graph API and create a Facebook application capable of updating your status message and uploading photos. If you don't have it already, you can clone or download the PHP SDK from GitHub. You'll also need a verified Facebook account. Registering your App on Facebook You first need to register your application on Facebook. Go to developers.facebook.com/apps and click the Create New App button at the top of the page. The dialog that opens asks you for the name and a namespace for your application. App Display Name is the name for your application that will be shown to the users. App Namespace is the namespace your application will use for Open Graph and Canvas Page. After you register the application, you'll be taken to the Basic Settings screen on which you need to specify how your app will integrate with Facebook: Website – The website option is used for adding social functionality to your website. App on Facebook – This Facebook app option embeds your application within a Facebook Canvas page. The code is hosted on your servers, but executes within the context of a Facebook page, similar to an IFrame. Mobile Web – The mobile web option is similar to the Website integration option, although it's intended for mobile sites. Native iOS/Android App – The native options allow you to integrate Facebook data i
