AFAIK there are no issues with the 32-bit version of Windows 7. __________________ Cheers, Paul Edstein [MS MVP - Word] #7 04-04-2011, 12:04 AM cookiegal Windows XP Office 2007 Novice Join Date: Mar 2011 Posts: 5 Quote: Originally Posted by macropod Hi cookiegal, It may be a compatability issue between Word 2003 and the 64-bit version of Windows 7. When you receive the alert message like "DllRegisterServer in ole32.dll succeeded.", click OK However, in some scenarios due to some issues like header corruption, incompatible version of application, improper handling of .docx files, virus attack and others DOCX file may get corrupt and displays error ‘there was an error opening file’ when opening it in Word 2003.
