/ Outlook / Outlook.com / Outlook.com Migration Status Last reviewed on September 26, 2016 —581 Comments Applies to: Outlook.com, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, Outlook 2003 I know everyone is anxious for their Outlook.com account to migrate to the new servers on Office 365… because http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/outlookcom/outlook-com-migration-status/ people are always asking me about it. Yes, the migration is still on, but with some 400 million accounts to move, it will continue well into 2017. As of February 2016, anyone who creates a new Outlook.com account will be http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f57/error-with-send-receive-with-outlook-all-the-sudden-703653.html on the new servers from the start. Current Outlook.com users who are still on the old server will be moved to the new server eventually; if you are impatient, try requesting it at this link. After your account is an error migrated, you'll need to remove it from Outlook and add it back using auto Account Setup to configure it. The usage of some features in the old Outlook.com can prevent the account from migrating in the early waves. This includes sharing a calendar with others (both need to be on the same sever to share calendars), using the Microsoft account as a Windows phone logon, and having connected accounts (possibly only Send-only accounts, which are not supported on in looking up the new server). Windows Phone users with Custom ringtones associated with individual contacts is also a contstraint. How do you know if the account was moved to the new server? Log into the account at outlook.com and look at the banner above the Inbox. If it says "Outlook Mail", it's on the new server. Accounts still on the old server say "Outlook.com". Outlook 2013 & Outlook 2016 Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 users shouldn't have any disruption when their account is moved as Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) will continue to sync, however we highly recommend removing the EAS account from Outlook and using auto account setup to add it back. This will create it as an Exchange server account and all features will work, such as adding attachments to appointments, importing mail, and contact groups. Click on the File tab, then Account Settings button and select Account Settings to open the Account dialog. Select the Exchange ActiveSync account and click Remove. Then click New to open the Add New Account dialog, where you'll type in your name, email address and password. Outlook 2010 & Older If you are using Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2003, once the account is moved, the Outlook Connector will stop working, with these send and receive errors: Task 'poremsky@outlook.com' reported error (0x8004102A) : 'Error with Send/Receive. There was an error synchronizing your folder hierarchy. Error : 80041004.' Task 'por

I have not changed anything to my folders or filters that I know of. I looked around the net & couldn’t find any answers. Some people had an issue with the time/date setting on PC that caused this error, but mine is correct. I get this error every time I hit the Send/Receive button. Some forums said something about syncing Hotmail with Outlook could be the problem. As far as I know I don’t have a Hotmail Account, well not that I know of or have ev
