Blaise Mitsutama One other thing to try is saving the files as .ppt instead of .pptx and see if you can convert the .ppt file to .pdf. If nothing else works and https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28535339/Cannot-save-as-the-PPTX-document-as-pdf-in-office-2013.html you have a .pptx file that exhibits this problem and Go to Solution 13 Comments LVL 18 Overall: Level 18 MS Applications 6 MS PowerPoint 2 Message Expert Comment by:Richard Daneke2014-10-10 In PowerPoint 2013, this option is in the Save As.. and Share features from the File tab. If this option is not available, there is a problem in your install. It is not clear from your question which 2013 version you have, but a reinstall or repair should clear this up. 0 Message Author Comment by:shamnad2014-10-10 Re-installed few times and the error message says there is an error while saving the file. Same for save as or export. it is very frustrating 0 LVL 24 Overall: Level 24 MS PowerPoint 22 MS Applications 9 Message Active 4 days ago Expert Comment by:Echo_S2014-10-10 Does this happen with all PowerPoint files or just this one? 0 LVL 30 Overall: Level 30 MS Applications 9 MS PowerPoint 5 Message Active today Expert Comment by:Paul Sauvé2014-10-10 Is the PPTX file on YOUR PC or a network location? Here's the code im using: Dim ppt As an error occurred Object On Error Resume Next Set ppt = GetObject(, "PowerPoint.Application") If ppt Is Nothing Then Set ppt = CreateObject("PowerPoint.Application") End If On Error GoTo 0 Set WDReport = ppt.Presentations.Open("C:\Users\User1\Documents\Folder\Final Report Template.pptx") WDReport.UpdateLinks Dim FileName2 As String FileName2 = "C:\Users\User1\Documents\Folder\Complete Report\" & Sheet14.Range("Q3").Text & " No " & Sheet14.Range("U21") & " Report" & Sheet17.Range("E10").Text & ".pdf" WDReport.ExportAsFixedFormat FileName2, ppFixedFormatTypePDF, ppFixedFormatIntentScreen WDReport.Close ppt.Quit Set ppt = Nothing Set WDReport = Nothing But i keep receiveing an error message "13 Type Mismatch" on the line WDReport.ExportAsFixedFormat FileName2, ppFixedFormatTypePDF, ppFixedFormatIntentScreen. I've tried to replace WDReport with ActivePresentation, but received and error "429 ActiveX Component Cant Create Object". All i've included all necessary libraries (Microsoft PowerPoint Object Library 15.0, same with MS Word), but no effect so far. UPD: Just to clarify the FileName2 string, Ranges are used to get the following variable data: Range("Q3") is Name (e.g. Test Company) Range("U21") is Number (e.g. 1234567891011) Range("E10") is Date (e.g. Feb-15) So the final file name would be like "Test Company No 1234567891011 Report Feb-15.pdf". Once again, it worked fine when i was converting .docx to pdf I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me with this issue. Thanks in advance! excel excel-vba pdf powerpoint share|improve this question edited Feb 27 '1

When converting PPTX to PDF, the headers at times come out as a dark background. On my PC it works fine, however when I send this document to others, at least two other people see black headers. I tried "print to PDF" and there is no difference. This happens with several different PDF files, all with varying sizes, graphics, etc. We are all using HP 800 G2 SFF computers with i7-6700 @ 3.40 GHz. The graphics card is also standard across all 5 computers. The software we use is MS Office 2016 and Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.
