Sometimes this error occurs because of an intermittent error. If that's the case, closing Eclipse and re-opening solves the problem. That doesn't seem to be the case here. The other cause is that your workspace is corrupt or refers to a plugin that got messed up. Try clicking details in case there is anything useful in there. If not, you'll need an internal error to create a new workspace. You can copy the projects from the old workspace folder to the new workspace folder and import them as Eclipse projects. (Or if they are in version control, you can just check them out again.)
