Service Unavailable. And in IIS 7 application pool is stop automatically for the website. I have restart the pool but when I run the website it goes to stop. I googled it, follow the below steps but could not solve the problem. 1.Custom account issue.To application pool keeps stopping iis 8 change username and password for application pool in IIS 7. -There is no such username or password for my website. 2.In application pool,Advanced setting--Rapid Fail Protection --Maximum Failures 50 - No change in Error. 3.Change of application pool, I have created new application pool and run website using that pool but the same error. If you are using a custom user account for the app pool identity make sure that user account has permissions on the root folder for the site and is added to the IIS_WPG user group. 16, 20091 Share 0 0 While setting up repro for one of the customer on my Vista IIS 7.I ran into couple of https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/jaskis/2009/05/16/iis7-503-service-unavailable-due-to-autostartfalse-for-app-pool/ issue(i’ll post both) of my own.My application gave up with "Service Unavailable" "HTTP error 503" No matter whatever I browse .htm , aspx everything ends up with that error 503.Looking into event viewer to see something reported apparently that was clean. And this issue seem to be happening only with one particular app pool "MyTest".That forced application pool me to try and create new app pool and see if that resolve the problem. Bingo!!! everything works like charm in the new app pool "MyTest2" . Obvious thing was to compare both the app pool setting in applicationhost.config
