It seems to come and go, and I'm not sure why. According to the debugger, as I single step through the assembly code, it's happening in one line of vfprintf(), which is being called from fprintf(). There have been no changes in this area of the code, though I have made changes in other areas. So, what typically causes the DBE exception? Thanks!Harold FCC Rules updated daily at http://www.hallikainen.com #1 4 Replies Related Threads frostmeister Super Member Total Posts : 769 Reward points : 0 Joined: 2006/12/03 10:20:52Location: UK Status: offline Re:EXCEP_DBE, // bus error (load/store) 2011/05/28 02:33:20 (permalink) 0 Transfers to a null pointer / invalid memory address. Are you using the exception handler provided in the microchip examples, that overrides the normal weak handler? If so, you should get an address along with the DBE error, that points to the line of code that caused the error, when checked in thedisassemblyview. If you breakpoint a few lines before the error, and check that any pointers being used are pointing to the correct areas of memory, that should catch it. #2 HaroldHallikainen Super Member Total Posts : 484 Reward points : 0 Joined: 2003/11/07 12:36
