I have copied it onto a few different computers and it works fine, except on one, a Win98 machine where I get the error message shown above. I have run it on other Win 98,95 & 3.11 machines. The machine in question runs other DOS programs just fine. I have even copied back the folder from this machine and the copy runs fine so there is nothing wrong with the program files. I gather it has to be something specific to this machine, but what could cause this? I've done a 'search' already here and on the Win 98 forum and have not found an answer relative to me. It seems different things can cause this error. Any ideas? Dave ------------------ Windows Tips *** Help others less fortunate. *** Help others less fortunate. JESUS IS LORD ! Drop it down as far as it will go & reboot. Try it then Also try running it in the painstakingly created boot icon. Does it work then? Let us know --
I have a Clipper program I wrote some time ago that was compiled with Clipper5. The software ran fine on slower (33MZ) Windows machines but almost always produced a DOS "run-time error R6003 - integer divide by zero" error on the faster ones. Once in a while my program does boot. The error must be some Clipper initialization routine that is having problems with faster machines. Has anybody else had this problem and is there a fix? I really need this software http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?70189-runtime-error-R6003-integer-divide-by-zero for my accounting and I need it to run on my faster PC. If you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate hearing about from you. Thanks. walt Wed, 07 Sep 2005 05:02:09 GMT Marcos Nogueir#2 / 3 "run-time error R6003 - integer divide by zero" error. Thanks. << This is a well known problem, and there are several ways to correct it (search the FAQs at The Oasis - http://www.the-oasis.net/). Or just apply the lastest CA-Tools patch, available at ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/clipper/). HTH, Marcos Nogueira S. If you can't find it, send me an email. That should do it

There are computer maintenance businesses which are probably in your area, however they come at the cost of hiring a professional to enter your home. There may also be some local destinations where you can drop off your computer and wait to have a technician look at it. These options can often be costly, and pretty inconvenient. The answer to this question can probably be found doing a little extra research on Google. A well-running computer can be a hard thing to maintain.
