If not, then uninstall it in Add/Remove Programs, and try again. Jimmy S., Nov 22, 2003 #2 Advertisements Guest Guest As the error division by zero states, the error is with the application itself. What that error means is the program you are using has performed a mathematical calculation where something is being divided by zero, which is undefined in mathematics (i.e. there is no answer). Whenever a program performs a calculation with a divide by zero, a runtime error such as the one you encountered occurs. Though this doesn't solve your problem, you now know what the error means. >-----Original Message----- >what the hell does that mean? i am tryin to install a win >95 version of phantasmagoria 2 onto win xp....i have used >the compatibility wizard, but the message "Application >Error:- Integer divide by 0" keeps coming up! what do i >do? >. > Guest, Nov 25, 2003 #3 Advertisements Show Ignored Content Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question? Integer divide by 0 Started by dmstein , Mar 19 2005 11:25 AM Please log in to reply #1 dmstein Posted 19 March 2005 - 11:25 AM dmstein New Member Member 2 posts Hi-- I've been using 'Print Artist 4.0' with Windows XP for quite awhile. It's an older program, and not completely compatible, but still quite functional. I tried to open it the other day, and got a "16 bit Windows Subsystem" error (the 'system 32\autoexec.nt. --not suitable for running MS-DOS" message). My first thought was to reinstall Print Artist--but it wouldn't work. So, I downloaded the 'XP repair,' and was able to open the Print Artist page. However---now, when I click on 'install,' I get an "Application Error" message: "Integer divide by 0" . Now I'm stumped. How do I repair THAT error? Thanks... 0 Advertisements #2 gerryf Posted 19 March 2005 - 01:21 PM gerryf Retired Staff Retired Staff 11,365 posts What do you mean "downloaded the 'XP repair'"? What did you download. Also, were you using SP1 before and SP2 now? 0 #3 dmstein Posted 21 March 2005 - 08:28 AM dmstein New Member Topic Starter Member 2 posts Oh, sorry--the 'XP repair' was a link to, well, a page with XP repairs for different issues! The link was posted, on this list, under a topic mentioning the first error message I got--the '16 bit Windows Subsystem' error ("system 32"). I try to read previous, pertinent messages before I ask for help. However, I have managed to get things up & running again. The bad news is, I don't know exactly how I did it--I just kept trying things until it worked. I did not do anything that would fix the 'integer divide by 0' error--but, it seems that must not be too important of an error message, as everything is working at this point. :^) 0 Back to Windows XP, 2000, 2003, NT · Next Unread Topic → Similar Topics 3 user(s) are reading this topic 0 members, 3 guests, 0 anonymous users Reply to quoted postsC
