Thanks, Desi Thank you David Foerster for your review of my post and recommendation to review, "How do I get my Lenovo T61 to connect to a wireless network?" The solution for that issue is possibly restricted to Ubuntu 11.04 & 11.10 depending, I suppose, on the accuracy of the wording in that post, please correct me if otherwise. I did, in any event, try the recommendation but it did solve my problem. I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, I installed with the Internal Network Adapter Boot disabled in the BIOS. USB's didn't work until I enabled the Internal Network Adapter. Wireless has never worked but did identify available wireless networks. Wired Connection works just fine. 14th, 2011, 06:16 AMCompleted a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10, and now the wireless is extremely slow. I cannot get speeds over https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1859558.html 10kbps, if that at all. However, my other laptop can download the https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=456563 same file from the same location at nearly 2Mbps. Any suggestions? rkrizanOctober 14th, 2011, 07:23 AMThe laptop is a Dell E1505: root@pharaoh:~# lspci|grep Network 0b:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61) root@pharaoh:~# lsmod|grep iwl iwl4965 123423 0 iwl_legacy 71673 1 cannot access iwl4965 mac80211 271515 2 iwl4965,iwl_legacy cfg80211 169178 3 iwl4965,iwl_legacy,mac80211 root@pharaoh:~# dmesg|grep iwl [ 17.114080] iwl4965: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi 4965 driver for Linux, in-tree: [ 17.114083] iwl4965: Copyright(c) 2003-2011 Intel Corporation [ 17.114171] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [ 17.114202] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 17.114253] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Detected Intel(R) no such file Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, REV=0x4 [ 17.156665] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: device EEPROM VER=0x36, CALIB=0x5 [ 17.157681] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Tunable channels: 11 802.11bg, 13 802.11a channels [ 17.157836] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: irq 43 for MSI/MSI-X [ 17.175236] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: loaded firmware version 228.61.2.24 [ 17.424261] ieee80211 phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'iwl-4965-rs' [ 103.746511] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Aggregation not enabled for tid 0 because load = 0 [ 151.655683] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: iwl4965_tx_agg_start on ra = 00:24:b2:17:a3:ba tid = 0 [ 169.864892] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Aggregation not enabled for tid 1 because load = 10 [ 1440.676102] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: iwl4965_tx_agg_start on ra = 00:24:b2:17:a3:ba tid = 1 [ 2281.534724] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Error sending TX power (-5) [ 2281.550232] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Attempting to modify non-existing station 31 [ 2281.552523] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Attempting to modify non-existing station 0 [ 2281.570436] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: Error sending TX power (-5) [ 2281.613246] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: PCI INT A disabled [ 2315.833840] iwl4965: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi 4965 driver for Linux, in-tree: [ 2315.833843] iwl4965: Copyright(c) 2003-2011 Intel Corporation [ 2315.833942] iwl4965 0000:0b:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) ->
