Can any one point out where the problem lies? gcc mingw eclipse-cdt share|improve this question edited Dec 5 '10 at 19:21 asked Dec 3 '10 at 14:38 Saad Masood 2,46562033 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4346585/having-trouble-building-project-on-eclipse-cdt-g-no-found up vote 4 down vote accepted g++ is the C++ compiler. MinGW is a port of the gnu compilers to windows. Is g++ on your path? Open a cmd window and type g++. Is there a similar error? If yes, find g++.exe, put the directory you find it in, in your path. Restart eclipse and retry. If you don't find it, then you probably need to install the C++ compiler from MinGW. share|improve this answer answered Dec 3 '10 at 16:06 Digikata 1,427918 HOw to put it in a "path". –Saad Masood Dec 5 '10 at 18:33 It's just the environment PATH variable. It's a little different depending on which version of Windows you're running. Google "How to set path windows" and find your version of windows. You want to add the directory that g++ is in to the list of directories already in the PATH. –Digikata Dec 6 '10 at 18:56 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Steps to reproduce: - create 'HelloWorld ARM C Project' with 'Cross ARM GCC' - choose toochain name: Linaro AArch64 bare-metal ELF (aarch64-none-elf-gcc) - toolchain path: ../gcc-linaro-aarch64-none-elf-4.8_win32/bin (the package is in my eclipse layout) - finish - in Problems view I see two errors: "Error: Program "g++" not found in PATH" Error: Program "gcc" not found in PATH - in Properties >> Build Variables I correctly configured ${cross_make} and ${cross_rm} - build project (the build process finishes without errors, the binaries are created), but the above errors don't disappear From my investigations, the issue is in Properties >> Preprocessor Include Paths, Macros etc. >> Providers >> CDT GCC Built-in Compiler Settings Cross ARM. I checked "Allocate console in the Console View" and the log is: 11:47:31 * Running scanner discovery: CDT GCC Built-in Compiler Settings Cross ARM * g++ ${FLAGS} ${cross_toolchain_flags} -E -P -v -dD D:/WORKSPACES/runtime-New_configuration/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core
