Cannot Run Program G++ Launching Failed Eclipse
is invalid; gcc Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) Attempts to build a Jazz-shared C++ download cygwin project using the C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) plugin installed on top of IBM RationalTeam Concert (RTC) Eclipse mingw IDE results in error "Cannot run program "gcc": The directory name is invalid". Cause Jazz Source Control uses a custom files system, and thus once the project is shared it changes the location from
gcc -O0 -g3 -Wall -c -fmessage-length=0 -o "C:\\default\\hello-mingw\\Debug\\src\\hello-mingw.o" "C:\\Users\\~\\~\\hello-mingw\\src\\hello-mingw.c"

Sun, 03 Mar 2013 15:16:13 +0100 Delivered-to: cdt-dev@eclipse.org User-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/20130215 Thunderbird/17.0.3 Andrew Spot on. I stopped execution with the debugger; made the folder and then it works fine. As to the version number. If you are talking about the version number of org.eclipse.cdt feature it is 8.1.2.201302132326. Which I would call brand new ;-) I ran check for updates using "CDT - http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/juno" but that one says there are no updates. I think I'll just make the folder in my code so it'll work with "older" versions of http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21668870 CDT ;-) Thank you very much. Best regards Jantje On 03-Mar-13 12:01, Andrew Gvozdev wrote: Hi Jan, "The directory name is invalid" message would indicate that the current directory as supplied to exec does not exist. For managed build the current directory is build directory (i.e. project/Debug) which normally does not exist before the build is run. Which version of CDT https://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/cdt-dev/msg25607.html are you using? This issue was fixed in CommandLauncher not so long ago in 8.2 stream.
