3, update server not available When you install Chrome online through a small setup file, GoogleUpdate process will be installed on your computer and this process periodically checks for google chrome update history updates for the browser and installs them whenever available. First uninstall google chrome (add remove programs). When the updater comes up, under the second tab from the left "installed software", click on install more programs. check the box to install google chrome. Uncheck all the other programs that are checked (unless you want those too). It will install google chrome, but it will be an older version. When you run the older version of google chrome, it will be updating in the back ground. Then it will ask you to restart google chrome. I've tried what google recommends and it doesnt work. I've tried things other people have suggested, those dont work. I always get the error 3 on my laptop. its an x86 windows 7 machine.
