Environment Novell ConsoleOne 1.3.6Novell eDirectory 8.8 for All PlatformsNovell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux Support Pack 1 Situation Suddenly a customer, with 50000 users some hundreds servers mostly OES2SP1 Linux and some NW65SP8, started to get error -8819 in ConsoleOne when searching for users like this:Start ConsoleOne, authenticate, select an Organization, click edit, find. Check search subcontainers, enter your searchterm like *test* and object type for example user. Then click find.After a while of silence, ConsoleOne returns error -8819.The change related to the appearence of this problem, was that the customer decreased the eDirectory cache on all NetWare server (- that hold majority of the eDirectory replicas) from 1.4Gb to 600Mb. Resolution To resolve this problem, cache was increased to 900Mb. Resolution None, the problem was reported to Trendmicro. Please verify that uninstalling the TrendMicro OSCE 7.3 client fix the issue, and if so, then contact Trendmicro to report the symptoms you are experiencing and asking for support.Workarounds:- Uninstall the TrendMicro OSCE 7.3 client; - In some cases roll back the last TrendMicro OSCE update installed was enough to fix the issue.
