Problem When you attempt to print from your Canon Printer using a Mac, a message appears stating Error 306. Solution Click the Apple icon in the top left of the screen. Click System Preferences. Click support code 306 canon printer mac Print & Fax. If the padlock in the bottom left is locked: Click it, enter

Didn't want to install crap software from Canon http://ask.metafilter.com/111839/Stupid-printer-stupid-me on my Mac for my new PIXMA MP620 printer, and downloaded https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Wireless-Networking/Communication-Error-306/td-p/145956 the drivers for the printer and scanner directly from Canon website. Clever right? Except no. The printer worked fine, but when I tried to scan, the scanner wasn't recognized by Mac. And when I tried to go back to printing, I couldn't figure out communication error how! There's a scan option on the printer menu, and a copy option, but no print option. Now I feel like a moron.
