Just follow the below mentioned steps to complete it, STEP 1: Select the apple icon from the desktop screen in your Mac. STEP 2: Go to System Preferences -> Select Print & Fax. STEP 3: If you see that the padlock in bottom left is locked? Then just click it once which http://themacmob.com/forum/error-306-when-trying-connect-canon-printer-mac-101443.html will ask for the password and enter the password and Click OK. STEP 4: Select the "-" button to remove the printer which you have synced and use the "+" button to add it again as the default printer. Now try to give the print from your Mac to the Canon printer which should work without any error or problems now. I searched several key strings and didn't find what I was looking for. I'm having a very frustrating problem with a new Pixma Pro 100 printer and I'm not sure what else to try. Every time I try and print, I get an error 306 - communications error - and the printer stops responding. Sometimes this is in the middle of a job, wasting expensive paper and ink. I've searched the web and tried many solutions, including: Reinstalling the driverRepairing PermissionsGiving the printer a dedicated IPResetting the printerRestarting the printerRestarting the computer I've tried most of these more than once. I'm not in a position to connect the printer via ethernet to the Airport, and connecting via USB everytime I want to print something would be a pain. (One of the major selling points was WiFi printing) Has anyone else experienced this, and can you think of anything else I should try ?
