Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer Just kicking everyone quickbooks another user performing task out and rebooting the server isn't a viable solution since the problem happens multiple times during the day. A better solution is to research the registry startup values for your server's database manager and to potentially change those settings: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\QuickBooksDB25\Parameters]"Parameters"=" -n QB_YOURSERVERNAME_25 -qs -gd ALL -gk all -gp 4096 -gu all -c 256M -x tcpip(BroadcastListener=NO;port=55363) -ti 0 -ec simple -qi -qw -tl 120 -oe \"C:\\ProgramData\\Intuit\\QuickBooks\\DBStartup.log\"" This is the default settings that I found in my server's registry. The part that I've included in bold sets the minimum RAM. By Intuit's own admission they suggest that these lower ("incorrect") values "keep coming back". To me, it seems unlikely that anything Microsoft is doing has anything to do with Inuit's collection of registry entries--obviously Intuit's own code is re-writing this area and they're causing their own problem.https://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/SLN65343 (click + for "QB 13.0 a

Thanks! IntuitSarah × Close Why do you want to report this? Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Hi Sarah. Yes, I'm in a multi-user environment. We are using Enterprise Solutions: Professional Services Edition 15.0 (aka Enterprise 2015). I see the error message after quickbooks company file I enter my log in credentials and click OK. First I get a message that says "Company file in use. Please wait." Then in a minute or so the message changes to "Another QuickBooks user (Unknown user) is currently performing a task which must finish before you can continue. QuickBooks will continue automatically when the other user's task has completed." Then another message comes up later that says something about clicking Esc to exit. This is supposedly a known issue. I've seen this question asked multiple times on this forum going back as far as 2 years (that I can see). tammy.casiere × Close Why do you want to report this?
